ECIS 2012 (Barcelona, Spain) has a SIGADIT sponsored track on IS Adoption and Diffusion focusing on different themes, including: · Theories, concepts, and tools of IS/ICT adoption and diffusion · Adoption/diffusion of IS supporting organizational/inter-organizational initiatives · Adoption of IS/ICT in a residential/ household context · Organizational adoption of social networking technologies · Socio-economic impacts of consumer adoption of IS/ICT · Socio-economic/geographical/cultural factors relevant to IS/ICT adoption · Strategies to promote IS/ICT adoption and diffusion · Diverse methods (e.g. survival analysis, comparative case studies) to understand ICT diffusion · Factors influencing IS/ICT adoption and use at micro and macro levels · The digital divide · The impact of ICT use on the daily/social/professional life of consumers/citizens · The impact of consumers’ home use of ICT on business models in various industries · Usage and post-adoption behavior SIGADIT encourages the research community to submit manuscripts that may be relevant to the IS Adoption and Diffusion track. |
